Michael Kamen, one of the great composers of movie scores, passed away yesterday at his home in London. He was 55 years old. He composed the scores to such films as Brazil, all four Lethal Weapon movies, all three Die Hard movies, Robin Hood: Prince of Theives, Mr. Holland's Opus, What Dreams May Come, The Iron Giant, and X-Men. He also collaborated with Pink Floyd on the orchestral arrangements for their albums "The Wall," "The Final Cut" and "The Division Bell"...as well as with Metallica on their song "Call of Ktulu" (for which he won a Grammy).
Posted by Zip at November 19, 2003 10:36 AMThere is no greater musical moment than the one in Brazil where Johnathan Price actually kisses the girl. R.I.P.

Posted by: Zip at November 19, 2003 01:53 PMOkay so I only check this place 2-3 times a month...
But wow, I didn't know Michael Kamen had passed away. I don't think it showed in the news. I wish I owned a copy of Brazil. I am thinking you must own that movie? Yes? Bring it when you come to visit.
And I swear you posted here and not in LJ just to throw me off about all the deaths you report on. Hmmm.
