'Matrix' Sequels Ignored For Special FX Oscars
The seven contenders for Best Visual Effects Oscar were announced on Monday, and both 'The Matrix Reloaded' and 'The Matrix Revolutions' were conspicuously absent. What were the nominees, you ask?
'Hulk'
'Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King'
'X-Men 2'
'Master and Commander: Far Side of the World'
'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl'
'Peter Pan'
'Terminator 3'
*ahem*....WHAT THE F*#@(^! F*#@ WERE THESE A$$HOLES THINKING??? I don't care what you think of the films, you can't deny that The Matrix films have the best special effects EVER!!!! #&$@*&*&*$^#_*@#!!!!!!!!
If the Golden Globes nominations aren't enough of a joke, then this should have you howling for days...just in a disapproving, non-funny kind of way.
Posted by Zip at December 23, 2003 03:48 PMUh Ummm..I am kinda happy cause I would like to see ROTK win it.. yet I have this feeling about Peter Pan.
Posted by: JO at December 23, 2003 05:30 PMEven though I didn't like either Matrix film that was released this year - it's hard to believe that the Jolly Green Giant got nominated over it. I would say that all the other nominees are probably well deserved...although I didn't see Termy 3
Posted by: Janice at December 24, 2003 09:16 AMThe special FX in HULK are about as facinating as the special FX in SHREK.
Posted by: jason at December 24, 2003 10:54 AMWhixh is what I commonly compare Hulk to is Shrek. "Shrek the unseen story"
