Sunday evening, I saw the national tour production of The Producers. It's the most Tony Award winning show in Broadway history for a damn good reason - it's awesome! Alan Ruck played the role of Leo Bloom...yes, the same Alan Ruck that played Cameron in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Huzzah!!!
Then, Monday morning, I saw Kill Bill: Vol. 2. Oh yes. I've seen it...
...and it was phenominal!!! Much more story and character driven this time around. Don't get me wrong...there is still some fighting, just not on the level of Vol. 1. It's much more personal and dramatic. And it only goes to further my stance on NOT buying the Vol. 1 DVD today and waiting until the whole thing is released in a huge special edition package. These movies need to be seen as one - spliting it up takes away from the experience as a whole. Vol. 1 stands well on it's own, but becomes an even better film once you see Vol. 2 unfold. A true masterpiece.
