Leaving on a Jet Plane

Forty eight hours from now, I'll be doing my final checks of the luggage and loading everything into the car. Then it's a 2 minute drive over to the Kmart parking lot for unloading the car and loading up on the bus. An hour and a half trip down I-75 (and eventually I-85) to the Atlanta Airp....Hartsfield Interna....Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. One ticket exhange and a couple of security checks later, 21 people from Calhoun, GA, (including my grandmother and I) will be on their way to Alaska for 10 days.

That's right, kiddies. Your truly will be spending time in the 49th state of our great nation. We are going to see some glaciers and icebergs, some bears and caribou at the Denali National Park and Preserve, Mt. McKinley (the highest mountain in North America), and the Alaskan Pipeline. I was hoping to see the aurora borealis, but it's really only viewable in the winter months. :(

All-in-all, I think we'll have a scrumdidilyumptious time. I should be back sometime around the 23rd or 24th, and I'll have plenty of pictures. Until then, my good, sweet little children...here is a lesson in Mnemonics. Enjoy!
