I have three movie reviews posted at Jive Magazine: Madagascar, The Longest Yard and Crash.
Go read them. Now.
Either Fate has decided to be kind to me again or the planets aligned when I wasn't looking:
An employee at Gamestop just leaked a tip that "We Love Katamari" is available for pre-order because the release date has been bumped up to August 23, 2005, instead of the originally announced October release.
THAT'S THREE DAYS BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY!!! THANK YOU, GRACIOUS KING OF ALL COSMOS!!!
Everybody, sing along with me:
That's right, kiddies. Today was my last official work day for this school year. I shall not return until the very end of July. Two months of nothing to do!!!
Nothing at all!
Zilch. Zero. Nada.
Nothing.
Hmmm...now that I think of it, that doesn't sound so thrilling. If only "We Love Katamari" was coming out sooner...rather than the end of this year. DAMMIT!!!
If you are any kind of wrestling fan, then you should see the upcoming documentary Lipstick & Dynamite: The First Ladies of Wrestling. This is about that era when wrestling truly meant beating the ever-lovin' crap out of each other. No fancy costumes, no special effects, no jumbo projection screens, no fireworks, no makeup...just a dark room, a ring, and two people ready to rumble.
Of course, this is also the era when a woman's place was her home; having dinner on the table and a martini ready to hand to her husband as he walked in the door. This documentary is the story of the women who broke all the rules.
See the trailer here.
Bruce Campbell is going on a "Summer of Love" tour to promote his latest book, Make Love The Bruce Campbell Way. On Monday, August 15, he will be stopping in Atlanta. The location has yet to be announced, but I can assure you that I will make every effort to be there. I saw him when he was touring with his first book, If Chins Could Kill. He's a genuinely funny and extremely nice guy.
Of his latest book, Bruce puts it this way: "Will you learn how to pick up chicks? Good heavens, I can only hope so, though for best results in that department, you should both read this book and be Brad Pitt." Sounds like a winner to me.
HOLY MUNDUNGUS!!! HERE'S THE TEASER TRAILER FOR THE NEXT HARRY POTTER MOVIE!!!!

SPAMALOT! - The Original Broadway Cast Recording was released today.
